Santa's Reindeer

Faith sings "reindeer, reindeer" all day. She's in love with Reindeer, so we were especially lucky to see a 'reindeer' in our backyard the other night. When we drove into the driveway, there was a deer at our neighbours deck. Behind the deer was a reindeer. Honestly! It had antlers and everything. The kids are sure that it is one of Santa's reindeer. They think he just dropped by for a snack while he waited for Santa to finish seeing the kids at the mall.

My Week of William

Will has been my doll this week. In his heart he honestly believes he makes it snow. The first time he put on the snowman pajama's made by Auntie Jean, it snowed. We accused him of making it snow and threatened to take them away. Since then, almost every night he's worn them, it's snowed. He laughs and giggles and runs around the house every night threatending to make it snow. John now wears his bear pajamas, trying to make spring come (because bears only come out in spring). Gracie is trying to make it summer by wearing her summer pajamas.

Will was so sweet over the last few days. He told the Santa in the mall that he wanted a mantis for Christmas. Santa looked at him and said his elves would have to figure out what a mantis is. Will was quite upset that Santa didn't know what a mantis is. Like, doesn't every child ask for a stuffed exotic bug for Christmas? We began to search the mall to try to help Santa find one. Will asked for a mantis in each store. He is quite worried that Santa won't be able to get him a mantis. He'll just have to sit and wait.
